I rather miss my time to muse and gather moss - or roses - depending on which poet one is thinking of.
These are busy and exciting days - full of new little discoveries and moments. Last week I looked over at Hank and he was standing beside the couch - not hanging on, playing with something small in his hands. Totally engrossed - I don't even think he knew he was standing. He looked so big! and this week he started wearing real shoes - somehow when he wears them he seems like such a big boy! They do seem to help him stand as well. I just think that he is growing so well and so quickly - if I blink his babyhood will be over!
I do have big plans to be a fun mom. But I may also be one that insists on regular bed times, a structured meal schedule, lots of vegetables, milk drunk at meals, limited TV, and few "marketing" toys. That said, I did just buy a stuffed Elmo for Hank. We went to story time at a local bookstore - and there was an Elmo on the floor that kids were playing with. Hank crawled right over to it, picked it up away from another kid, and started eating his hand. By the time I got to him he was totally chewing on it and was not about to give it up. So now we have Elmo. It could be worse!
Hank is into everything! No outlet, cord or trash can is safe! He is very curious and interested in everything. Yesterday when he woke up from his nap he was singing to himself so sweetly! I just lay in bed and listened for a while - amazing!
